Liz Truss has been urged to “stand up” to Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi over their continued interventions on Brexit by warning them to “mind their own business”. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Liz Truss hinted a trade deal between the UK and US could be several years away, warning she isn’t expecting talks to start “in the short to medium term”. Mr Biden met Ms Truss for the first time at the UN General Assembly in New York. The White House had said he would tell her she must work with the European Union to find a negotiated outcome to solve post-Brexit tensions over the Protocol.
